Helping tenants through purposeful construction and supports
The Bridge will be a 24 unit building which can house up to 36 low-income individuals seeking affordable living accommodations. There will be a mix of bachelors and one bedroom suites available over 3 floors with an elevator making all the suites accessible. Bachelor apartments will be approximately 400 sq. ft. and 1 bedroom apartments will be approximately 640 sq. ft.
Tenants placed in these apartments can expect additional supports from Steinbach Community Outreach and our programming. This will include assistance with budgeting, food and hygiene product hampers, access to our free clothing and bedding closets, as well as our free income tax clinic. We can also help with some basic start up supplies and assistance finding free furniture if the tenant requires it. On a personal level we can help tenants connect with mental health resources and counselling if they wish, as well as connections with other local resources as needed. A tenant at The Bridge can expect regular check ins. We hope to build a strong sense of community in this building.
